AC-300 Non-Silicone Defoamer

Flowlen AC-300 Defoamer by Kyoeisha is a special polymer free of silicone, suitable for solvent-based coatings. It offers excellent bubble release and defoaming capabilities while adjusting the surface leveling of the coating film and the rate of solvent evaporation. As a result, AC-300 Defoamer is highly effective in improving surface smoothness and preventing boiling (anti-cratering) in baked paint films.

AC300 Defoamer possesses strong bubble release ability, making it ideal for coating porous materials such as wooden boards and asbestos tiles.
Kyoeisha AC-300 Defoamer excels in defoaming for special coating methods, including dip coating, roller coating, and curtain flow bed coating, with highly satisfactory results.
Due to its ability to adjust the surface flow of the coating film, it is also highly effective in eliminating pinholes, craters, fish eyes, and brush marks.
In baking processes, thick coating films or insufficient flash-off time often lead to bubble formation on the surface after heating. While high-boiling-point solvents can mitigate this issue, they often cause slow drying or sagging. AC-300, being a resinous polymer that adjusts the drying speed of the coating surface, allows for thicker films without boiling issues and has minimal impact on surface drying and sagging. AC-300 also effectively suppresses bubbles generated during production, such as in zinc stearate-based primer systems, where it demonstrates significant defoaming and foam inhibition effects.

Alkyd resins, acrylic resins, polyester resins, epoxy resins, polyurethane coatings, vinyl chloride resins, and more.

Dosage and Usage of Flowlen AC-300 Defoamer by Kyoeisha (Japan):
Depending on the resin system and application method, the recommended dosage of AC300 Defoamer is 0.1% to 1% of the total weight. In certain special cases, it can be used up to 3% or 5%. It can be added either before or after grinding, though adding it beforehand generally yields better results.
