BYK-P 104S Dispersant

BYK-P 104S Dispersant is a controlled flocculation wetting and dispersing additive designed for medium to high polarity solvent-based industrial coatings and architectural coatings, as well as automotive putties.
BYK-104S Dispersant prevents floating and flooding that occurs when titanium dioxide is combined with other pigments.
BYK-P 104S Anti-floating Dispersant enhances anti-floating and anti-flooding properties; this additive contains silicone.

BYK-104S Dispersant is suitable for medium to high polarity systems and is particularly effective in preventing floating when titanium dioxide is combined with other colored pigments. It can also be used in amine-neutralized water-based coatings. It is not soluble in mineral spirits. When used in anti-corrosion primers, it often enhances protective performance.
BYK-104S Dispersant also contains a small amount of polysiloxane copolymer to more effectively avoid flooding. This silicone content also helps prevent Benard cell formation and silking, and it improves surface slip, leveling, and the orientation of matting agents or aluminum powder. Therefore, it is often unnecessary to add additional silicone additives.
