Di(2-ethylhexyl) sebacate (DOS)

As an excellent cold-resistant plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, this product features high plasticizing efficiency and low volatility. In addition to its excellent low-temperature cold resistance, it also has good heat resistance, making it suitable for use at higher temperatures. It exhibits good weather resistance and superior electrical insulation properties, often used in combination with phthalate esters. It is particularly suitable for cold-resistant wires and cable materials, artificial leather, films, sheets, and other products. This product is non-toxic and can be used in food packaging materials. Besides polyvinyl chloride products, it can also serve as a low-temperature plasticizer for various synthetic rubbers, as well as a cold-resistant plasticizer for resins such as nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose, polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, and vinyl chloride copolymers.
