A deluge alarm valve is a one-way valve that opens through electrical, mechanical, or other means, allowing water to automatically flow unidirectionally into the sprinkler system while simultaneously triggering an alarm.

The deluge alarm valve, combined with open sprinklers, forms a deluge system, typically installed in locations where fires develop and spread rapidly. The deluge alarm valve is also suitable for water spray systems, water curtain systems, etc. In the event of a fire, it is controlled by an automatic fire alarm system or a pilot line, automatically opening the deluge valve assembly and activating the fire pump to supply water for extinguishing the fire.

2. Leverage Type Deluge Valve ZSFG Minshan Deluge Valve Operating Principle

The supply side and control chamber of the deluge alarm valve are connected via piping, both filled with pressurized water during the standby state. When a fire occurs in the protected area, the automatic fire alarm system or sprinklers on the pilot line detect the fire and automatically control (the automatic fire alarm system activates the solenoid valve to release pressure, or the pilot line releases pressure through sprinkler operation) to rapidly reduce the pressure in the control chamber. Once the pressure drop exceeds the throttling orifice plate's adjustment limit, a pressure differential forms between the supply side and the control chamber, causing the valve disc assembly to open instantly. An anti-reset locking mechanism engages to prevent the valve disc assembly from closing. Water from the supply side flows into the system side to supply sprinklers on the piping network for fire extinguishment, while a small portion of water flows to the water motor gong and pressure switch. The water motor gong emits a continuous alarm sound, and the pressure switch activates, sending a signal to the fire control center while simultaneously starting the supply pump to provide continuous water. The fire control center coordinates audible and visual alarms to achieve the purpose of automatic fire sprinkling and alarm.
