1 Device Overview
The DRL600 Power System Fault Recording and Location Device is primarily used in conventional substations, converter stations, petrochemical plants, steel mills, electrified railways, thermal power plants, hydropower plants, nuclear power plants, and other scenarios requiring fault recording for generators and generator-transformer units at voltage levels ranging from 35kV to 1000kV and above. It is designed to record the variation process of electrical parameters during short-circuit faults, system oscillations, frequency collapse, and voltage collapse in the power system. The device employs mutually independent, parallel-operating hardware modules to achieve transient recording for triggering records and continuous recording for long-term records. Dual recording shares sampled data via a high-speed serial bus, accomplishing both "snapshot" and "video" recording of grid operation data.
2 Device Features
2.1 Independent and Parallel Recording Technology Based on FPGA High-Speed Serial Communication
The DRL600 Power System Fault Recording and Location Device adopts a parallel recording method combining "snapshot" and "video" recording. Both recording methods utilize independent hardware, operating without interference, and share the sampling circuit through the FPGA's high-speed serial bus.
2.2 Large-Capacity Embedded Storage Technology
Transient recording and long-term recording in the DRL600 Power System Fault Recording and Location Device are independently completed by their respective recording CPUs, enabling local operation without reliance on backend systems. The recording CPUs employ large-capacity embedded storage technology, capable of storing no less than 5000 transient recording files and 7 days of long-term recording data.
2.3 User-Friendly Interface and Comprehensive Analysis Functions—Convenient, Intuitive, and Practical
It utilizes the Linux operating system with a user-friendly graphical interface. Convenient and practical real-time operation monitoring auxiliary functions allow real-time display of current, voltage, negative sequence quantities, active power, reactive power, apparent power, frequency, vector diagrams, and other relevant parameters for operational monitoring. Transient recording data can be retrieved based on various conditions.
In addition to viewing, displaying, and printing recorded waveforms, the analysis functions of the recording system include applying zoom, comparison, calibration, and other quantitative methods to analyze the magnitude and phase of voltage and current, the status and sequence of switch actions. Further analyses include sequence quantity analysis, harmonic analysis, impedance analysis, active power (P) and reactive power (Q) analysis, fault location, and RMS value calculation at any point on the waveform of various electrical quantities.
