GH2132 Overview
GH2132 is a Fe-25Ni-15Cr-based high-temperature alloy strengthened by the addition of molybdenum, titanium, aluminum, vanadium, and trace amounts of boron. It exhibits high yield strength, as well as enduring and creep strength below 650°C, along with good processing plasticity and satisfactory welding performance. It is suitable for manufacturing high-temperature load-bearing components in aero-engines, compressor discs, rotor blades, and fasteners that operate long-term below 650°C. This alloy can be produced in various deformed forms, such as discs, forgings, plates, bars, wires, and rings.
Premium GH2132 alloy, developed on the basis of GH2132, primarily enhances alloy purity, restricts gas content, controls low-melting-point element content, and adjusts the heat treatment process, thereby improving the alloy's thermal strength and long-term service performance.

GH2132 Varieties and Supply Conditions
Various specifications of bars, plates, wires, discs, and rings can be supplied. Bars, round cakes, and ring blanks are delivered without heat treatment; hot-rolled and cold-rolled plates are delivered after solution treatment and pickling; cold-drawn bars are delivered in solution-treated and pickled condition; cold-heading wires can be delivered in several conditions: solution-treated and pickled in coils, solution-treated and pickled in straight lengths, or solution-treated straight lengths with polished and cold-drawn finishes; cold-drawn welding wires are delivered in cold-drawn condition, solution-treated and pickled, or semi-hard condition.
GH2132 Melting and Casting Processes
GH2132 alloy can be melted using non-vacuum induction + electroslag, electric arc furnace + electroslag, electric arc furnace + vacuum arc, and vacuum induction + vacuum arc processes. Premium GH2132 alloy can be melted using vacuum induction + vacuum arc processes.
GH2132 Application Overview and Special Requirements
In aviation, it is mainly used for engine compressor discs, load-bearing rings, casings, shafts, fasteners, and plate-welded load-bearing components operating below 650°C. Domestically, this alloy has been widely applied in aviation. Premium GH2132 alloy is used for aero-engine compressor blades and high-temperature fasteners.
GH2132 Forming Properties
The alloy forging billet heating temperature is 1080°C-1140°C, with a final forging temperature above 900°C. For hydraulic press billet forging, the heating temperature is 1100°C, and the stop-forging temperature is above 950°C; for die forging, the starting forging temperature is 1100°C, and the stop-forging temperature is above 930°C. Ring rolling heating temperature is 1130-1150°C, with a final rolling temperature above 900°C; bar and profile rolling temperature is 1080-1140°C, with a final rolling temperature above 900°C.
GH2132 Welding Performance
The alloy has satisfactory welding performance and can be welded using argon arc welding, spot welding, and seam welding. The alloy is welded in the solution-treated condition, followed by aging treatment after welding.
GH2132 Part Heat Treatment Process
Solution treatment temperature is 980-1000°C, with air cooling, oil cooling, or water cooling after holding for different times based on part cross-sectional thickness, followed by aging at 700-720°C for 12-16 hours and air cooling. The heat treatment process for premium GH2132 alloy parts is: solution treatment at 900°C±10°C for 1-2 hours, oil cooling + aging at 750°C±10°C for 16 hours, air cooling.
