●C17500 Characteristics and Applications:

C17500 beryllium cobalt copper has excellent cold working properties and good hot working properties. C17500 beryllium cobalt copper is mainly used for fuse clips, fasteners, spring switches, and relay components.

Beryllium copper, also known as beryllium bronze, is a beryllium-containing copper-based alloy (Be 0.2～2.75% wt%). It is the most widely used among all beryllium alloys, accounting for over 70% of the world's beryllium consumption today. Beryllium copper is a precipitation-hardening alloy. After solution and aging treatment, it exhibits high strength, hardness, elastic limit, and fatigue limit, with low elastic hysteresis. It is also corrosion-resistant (beryllium copper alloy corrosion rate in seawater: (1.1-1.4) × 10⁻² mm/year. Corrosion depth: (10.9-13.8) × 10⁻³ mm/year.). After corrosion, the strength and elongation of the beryllium copper alloy remain unchanged, allowing it to last over 40 years in seawater. Beryllium copper alloy is an irreplaceable material for undersea cable repeater structures. In sulfuric acid media: beryllium copper has an annual corrosion depth of 0.0012-0.1175 mm in sulfuric acid concentrations below 80% (room temperature), with slightly accelerated corrosion at concentrations above 80%. It features wear resistance, low-temperature resistance, non-magnetic properties, high electrical conductivity, and no sparking upon impact. It also has good fluidity and the ability to reproduce fine patterns. Due to its many superior properties, beryllium copper alloy has gained widespread application in the manufacturing industry.
