Acid Fixing Agent (Acid Adjustment)

Acid Fixative (Acid Adjustment) is a textile auxiliary used to enhance the wet fastness of nylon and fluorescent dyed nylon fabrics. It helps prevent color fading during sun exposure and other treatments, with minimal hardening of the fabric hand. Notably, this fixative has excellent solubility, low product viscosity, and high operational efficiency. It is theoretically effective for other fluorescent dyed fabrics such as cotton and polyester.

2．Resists color fading in polyamide fibers during sun exposure and other treatments.

[Usage Method]

The dosage of acid fixative varies depending on the type, form, dye concentration, dyeing method, and required fastness of the treated material, but the following methods serve as a reference:

Light shades: 1.0～2.0% o.w.f.

Medium shades: 2.0～3.0% o.w.f.

Dark shades: 3.0～4.0% o.w.f.

Treatment bath: Hac 0.5~1g/L, 70℃ boil × 20～30min treatment

Specific processes should be based on your company's existing procedures.

[Performance Testing]

Various fastness tests are as follows:

Test fabric: Nylon fabric Fixative: X% o.w.f.

Dyes: Three types of fast acid dyes

① NYLOSAN Golden Yellow N-48L 1% o.w.f.

② NYLOSAN Red N-GZS 1% o.w.f.

③ NYLOSAN Blue N-GFL 3% o.w.f.

[Treatment Conditions]

Fixative treatment (bath ratio 1:10) 70℃ × 20 min → Rinse → Dry (120℃ × 2 min) → Heat-set (170℃ × 1 min)

Test items: Wash fastness based on JIS L-0844 A-2, Perspiration fastness based on JIS L-0848

[Precautions]

1．Conduct small-scale tests beforehand, to determine the appropriate dosage;

2．If used in the same bath with other finishing agents, perform compatibility tests in advance.

[Storage and Packaging]

1．Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, protected from sunlight and rain, with a shelf life of 6 months;

2．Packaged in polyethylene plastic drums, lined with plastic bags, each drum containing 125KG.
