Water Softener (CT Powder)

Water plays a crucial role in the dyeing process. All dyes and auxiliaries act on fibers through the medium of water during dyeing. If the water contains high levels of calcium, magnesium, and other ions, it directly affects the dye uptake on the fibers. In mild cases, the color may appear dull; in severe cases, the color may turn dark or even result in color spots and patches. This issue is particularly prominent during spring when rainfall is scarce, and the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions is higher. The water softener (CT Powder) introduced by Qiantai Chemical effectively addresses these problems. If the color appears too dark or heavy after dyeing, a high-temperature boil with the water softener will significantly improve the color brightness.

Composition: Mixture of inorganic and organic chelating agents

Solubility: Easily soluble in water at room temperature

1. CT Powder has excellent water softening capabilities and also serves as a versatile chelating dispersant. It effectively complexes metal ions such as calcium, iron, and magnesium and has strong dispersing properties for various impurities.
2. Adding CT Powder during printing, dyeing, and knitting processes helps break down and remove calcium and iron deposits, silica scale, and other impurities from equipment, effectively reducing the hardness of production water.
3. When used with hydrogen peroxide stabilizers in pre-treatment bleaching, whether in steaming or cold pad-batch processes, CT Powder effectively controls the violent decomposition of hydrogen peroxide, prevents hole formation, and improves fabric whiteness and bleaching uniformity.
4. Using CT Powder during soaping after printing or dyeing reduces water hardness, effectively removing unfixed dyes such as reactive dyes and others. This reduces or eliminates the need for fixing agents, resulting in excellent color fastness.

[Usage Method]

1. As a water softener in printing and dyeing processes

Dosage: 0.3–1.0 g/L

Suitable for any dyeing and scouring temperature and duration

2.Brightening and color correction process

Dosage: 1.0–2.0 g/L, 100°C, 20–50 minutes

(After treatment with the water softener (CT Powder), fibers and fabrics must be thoroughly rinsed before proceeding with cationic finishing agent processing.)

[Precautions]

1. Conduct small-scale tests in advance to determine the appropriate dosage.

2.If used in the same bath with other finishing agents, conduct compatibility tests beforehand.

[Storage and Packaging]

1. Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, protected from sunlight and rain. Shelf life: 6 months.

2.Packaged in polyethylene woven bags with inner plastic liners, 25 kg per bag.
