Product Introduction
The TBQ-2C Pyranometer is primarily used to measure solar total radiation with a wavelength range of 0.3-3.2 micrometers, classified as a first-class instrument. It consists of a double-layer quartz glass dome, sensing element, sunshade, body desiccant, and other components.
The sensing element is the core part of the instrument, composed of a fast-response wire-wound electroplated thermopile. The sensing surface is coated with 3M matte black paint, serving as the hot junction. When exposed to sunlight, its temperature rises, creating a temperature difference electromotive force with the cold junction on the opposite side. This electromotive force is proportional to the solar radiation intensity.
The double-layer glass dome is designed to reduce the impact of air convection on the pyranometer. The inner dome is included to block the infrared radiation emitted by the outer dome itself.
