The process of refrigeration achieved by the Reid high and low temperature air-cooled condensing unit can be summarized into the following key steps:
1. Evaporation Process
The refrigerant, in a low-temperature and low-pressure liquid state after pressure reduction through the throttle valve, enters the evaporator.
Inside the evaporator, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the object being cooled, thereby lowering the temperature of the object.
After absorbing heat, the refrigerant turns into a low-temperature, low-pressure gas. During the evaporation process, the temperature and pressure remain constant.
2. Compression Process
After completing the refrigeration process, the refrigerant exits the evaporator and is drawn into the compressor.
Inside the compressor, the refrigerant is compressed, causing its temperature and pressure to rise sharply. The temperature typically increases to around 90°C, and the pressure rises from approximately 0.03 MPa in the return pipe to about 0.2 MPa in the discharge pipe.
Compressing the gas requires the compressor to consume a certain amount of energy.
3. Condensation Process
The high-temperature, high-pressure refrigerant gas enters the condenser.
Inside the condenser, the refrigerant is cooled and condensed into a high-temperature, high-pressure liquid with sufficient pressure. During this process, the refrigerant loses heat.
Cooling air is blown across one side of the condenser, carrying away the heat from the outside of the condenser through convective heat transfer, ensuring that the process fluid inside the condenser cools and condenses into a liquid.
4. Throttling and Pressure Reduction Process
The high-pressure liquid passes through the throttle valve to reduce pressure and re-enters the evaporator, initiating a new cycle of refrigeration.
In summary, the high and low temperature air-cooled condensing unit achieves the conversion of cold and heat by repeatedly compressing and expanding the refrigerant. The refrigerant absorbs heat in the evaporator, increases in temperature and pressure in the compressor, releases heat and condenses into a liquid in the condenser, and finally returns to the evaporator after pressure reduction through the throttle valve, continuously repeating the refrigeration cycle. This process requires the coordinated operation of core components such as the compressor, evaporator, condenser, and throttle valve, as well as the assistance of cooling air for heat dissipation, to achieve efficient refrigeration effects.
