MPS150 Reverse Osmosis Membrane Flocculant

Usage Description

MPS150 reverse osmosis membrane flocculant is a water-soluble organic polymer electrolyte with high ionic strength and good water solubility. It is not affected by low water temperatures, does not form gels, and has stable hydrolysis, making it particularly suitable for various water sources. It effectively reduces SDI values and minimizes membrane fouling. It can be used with reverse osmosis membranes and TFC membrane and nanofiltration elements from Dow Chemical (Filmtec), Hydranautics, and domestic manufacturers.

Usage Requirements

Dosage:

It is recommended to prepare a 3-5% aqueous solution, preferably using reverse osmosis permeate or desalinated water.

When used alone, the dosage is 1-2 mg/L. When used in combination with other coagulants (aluminum salts, iron salts), the dosage is 0.3-0.7 mg/L. The optimal dosage can be determined through jar tests based on actual conditions.

Dosing Point:

Typically selected before the multi-media filter, directly dosed by a metering pump or mixed thoroughly with raw water via the feed pump suction.
