● Introduction to Figure Remolding Silicone
The HY-5 series silicone is a two-component condensation-type organic silicone rubber. Component A is a white flowable liquid, and Component B is a transparent or light yellow curing agent (vulcanizing agent or hardening agent). When mixed in a ratio of 100:3, they rapidly form and can cure at room temperature.
● Applications of Figure Remolding Silicone:
Figure silicone is used for making prototype models, PVC plastic molds, cement product molds, low-melting-point alloy molds, alloy toy crafts, plastic toys, electronics, handicrafts, stationery industries, large sculptures, replication of cultural relics, (shoe molds) sole mold manufacturing, pad printing positioning, shock absorption in electronic devices, and small-batch mold replication and model development design.

● Product Features

● User Notes:
RTV-2 mold silicone is also called two-component room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber; it has good fluidity and operability. Adding 2%-5% curing agent, the silicone can still flow within 30 minutes, and the mold will fully cure in 4 hours. It is generally recommended to let the mold sit for 24 hours before use, as the performance will be more stable and the results better. The finished mold is resistant to acids and alkalis, aging, deformation, has low shrinkage, high temperature resistance, good tear resistance, low viscosity, and high hardness. It is widely used for making casting molds for medium or large products.
This product is a white or semi-transparent flowable liquid. After full curing, the hardness is 20/30/40/50A, suitable for medium or slightly larger products for casting molds. If the customer is making small products with very fine patterns, a slightly softer silicone should be used; the amount of curing agent added is determined based on customer requirements. The curing time is affected by the amount of curing agent added—the more curing agent added, the faster the curing; conversely, the less added, the slower.
● Manufacturing Process of Figure Remolding Silicone:
Mold making methods include wrapping, brushing (split mold, 3D mold, flat mold), and casting mold, depending on the size of the product.
1、Wrapping: First, wrap the master model with a 3~5mm layer of clay, make a plaster jacket, remove the clay, and pour the mixed silicone and curing agent into the plaster jacket with the master model inside to cure.
2、Brushing: Generally, three layers are brushed, and more layers can be applied based on mold requirements. The first layer is brushed onto the master model under vacuum, applied evenly, and after 20-30 minutes when the silicone begins to cross-link, the second layer is brushed on, along with a layer of gauze or fiberglass cloth. After 20-30 minutes, the final layer is brushed on as a cover, and it cures.
3、Casting Mold: Pour the well-mixed silicone and curing agent into a container with the master model secured inside, apply vacuum, and cure. For some models that cannot be directly removed, cutting may be required for demolding to facilitate smooth production.
● Curing Agent Model Introduction:

● Curing Agent Addition Ratio and Reaction:
1、Add 2-5% curing agent, with 30 minutes of working time (at room temperature), and the mold will fully cure in 4 hours.
2、The mixing ratio of silicone to curing agent is 100:2-5. For example: 100g silicone, add 2-5g curing agent. Curing agent is provided free of charge at a 5% ratio. If users need shorter or longer working times, in principle, do not adjust by adding less or more curing agent; instead, contact our company for newly formulated curing agents.
● Usage Technical Guide:
1、Shake the curing agent (Component B) well before use.
2、Component A : Component B = 100:2 - 100:5, this ratio is calculated by weight. Weight should be measured with an electronic scale.
3、After pouring both components into a container, mix thoroughly with a stirring rod. When the color is uniform, it indicates thorough mixing. Scrape the bottom and sides of the container well to ensure the silicone there is fully mixed with the curing agent. The silicone and curing agent must be mixed evenly; if not, the mold may have partially cured and partially uncured areas, leading to uneven curing that affects the mold's lifespan and number of remolding times, and may even cause the mold to be scrapped.
4、After mixing the silicone and curing agent evenly, proceed to the vacuum degassing step. The vacuum time should not be too long; normally, it should not exceed ten minutes. If vacuum is applied for too long, the silicone may start to cure immediately, causing cross-linking and turning it into chunks, making it unusable for brushing or casting, thus wasting the silicone, which must then be discarded and a new batch prepared.
5、Do not fill the container too full during vacuum degassing, as the silicone may easily overflow.
6、When casting, pour the material along one corner of the mold frame to help it flow evenly and reduce bubbles during curing.
7、The mold will fully cure at room temperature in about 4 hours. Do not use heat to cure; even if heating is used to accelerate curing, the temperature should not exceed 60°C.
8、If the prototype is made of silicon-containing materials like ceramics, it is best to spray paint the prototype to facilitate demolding.
9、For best results, let the mold sit for 24 hours before use.
● Tips:
1、This product does not require the addition of silicone oil to adjust hardness and fluidity. If users need a product softer or with better fluidity than the above models, please contact our company for provision. We do not recommend adding silicone oil; for soft molds or products with very fine patterns, the silicone oil addition ratio is generally only 5%-10%.
2、Viscosity, working time, and hardness after curing can be adjusted according to customer needs.
