- The UGS series color quartz tube level gauge is a crystallization developed by our factory using the latest high-tech advancements both domestically and internationally. It serves as an upgraded replacement for conventional glass plate level gauges. Widely used in petroleum, chemical, power, metallurgy, and other industries, it is installed on various transparent liquid containers and boilers—such as those containing water, gasoline, liquefied gas, ammonia, propane, propylene, aromatic hydrocarbons, acids, and other petroleum products and chemical raw materials—for liquid level measurement. It is also suitable for interface measurement between two media of different densities. When mounted on the side of containers or boilers, the color level gauge allows direct observation of liquid level changes: the liquid phase appears green, the gas phase appears red, and the interface measurement shows a three-color demarcation. The high contrast between liquid and gas phases ensures clear visibility over long distances and during nighttime inspections. It successfully addresses issues found in conventional plate level gauges, such as heaviness, large sealing area, susceptibility to leakage, unclear display, and difficulty in determining the liquid level even at close range. It is currently an ideal direct-reading level gauge both domestically and internationally. The UGS bicolor quartz tube level gauge mainly consists of a specially shaped quartz glass tube, color-filtering green glass pieces, a meter body, upper and lower valves, and a drain valve. The level gauge and the container's upper flange form a communicating vessel. Through the optical principles of natural light refraction and reflection in liquids, and with the aid of red and green filter glass pieces, the liquid phase appears green and the gas phase appears red. The red and green display is distinct, allowing for long-distance observation and nighttime patrols. ● Clear display of liquid and gas phases, no blind spots, excellent sealing performance, high temperature and pressure resistance, anti-clogging, lightweight, long service life, and leak-proof. ● Simple structure, easy installation and maintenance, corrosion resistance, no power supply required, explosion-proof. Main technical specifications of the UGS series color quartz tube level gauge: ● Specially manufactured transparent quartz tube with 99.99% SiO₂, deformation point at 1077°C, softening point at 1730°C. ● Compressive strength: 1170 kg/cm³, expansion coefficient: 5.5×10⁻⁷. After special processing, it offers high temperature and pressure resistance and excellent mechanical properties. ● Working pressure: 1.6, 2.5, 4.0, 6.4, 10.0 MPa ● Working temperature: <520°C ● Measuring range L: Determined by the center distance: 300, 500, 800, 1100, 1400, 1700, 2000 mm. Custom sizes available upon request. ● Steam heating jacket: Working pressure 0.6 MPa, connection size G1/2″ external thread. ● Connection flange: Complies with the Ministry of Chemical Industry's newly issued HG20592~20635-97 flange standards. Flange bore sizes DN20, DN25. Other standards (such as GB, ANSI, etc.) can be designed according to user requirements. Steel ball automatic sealing pressure: greater than 0.2 MPa. Weight: 15–30 kg.
