Screw Conveyor

The principle of the twin-shaft screw conveyor is that two seamless steel tubes each contain a solid screw, one with left-hand rotation and the other with right-hand rotation. During operation, the two screws rotate through the meshing of a pair of gears at the shaft extension. The rotation of the screw bodies causes the material to move axially, thereby achieving the purpose of conveyance.

Structural Features:

1. Utilizes a variable diameter structure to increase the volume at the hanger bearing, preventing contact between the hanger bearing and the material. The service life of the hanger bearing can exceed two years.

2. Compared to other conveying equipment, it offers advantages such as a small cross-sectional size, excellent sealing performance, stable and reliable operation, the ability to load and unload material at multiple points along the length, safe operation, and simple maintenance.

3. Both the head and tail bearing housings are located outside the casing. All bearings use a multi-layer sealing box combined with sealing technology, resulting in a long service life for the bearings.

4. All transmission parts adopt a floating connection method. The hanger bearing is a universal structure, allowing the screw body, hanger bearing, and tail to form an integrated floating body. Within a certain range, it can freely rotate to avoid conveyance resistance, preventing material jamming and blockage.

5. The connections between the screw shaft and the hanger bearing, head, and tail shaft all use an embedded tongue-type design. Installation and disassembly do not require axial movement, making maintenance convenient. The core shaft is long, with few hangers and fewer points of failure.

The conveying principle of the twin-shaft screw conveyor is that the rotating screw blades push the material forward for conveyance. The force that prevents the material from rotating with the screw blades is the material's own weight and the frictional resistance between the material and the conveyor casing.

The twin-screw conveyor is suitable for horizontal, inclined, and vertical conveyance of granular or powdered materials. The conveying distance of the twin-screw conveyor varies depending on the model, generally ranging from 2 meters to 70 meters.
