Periodic Immersion Corrosion Test Machine

Cyclic immersion corrosion testing is a commonly used accelerated corrosion testing method in laboratories, allowing for rapid evaluation of the corrosion resistance of steel materials. It is a standard method for screening trial steels during the development of new steel grades. The Xi'an LETRY Cyclic Immersion Corrosion Testing Machine is an automatic C-ring corrosion testing machine designed to test the mechanical properties, such as stress corrosion susceptibility, of C-ring specimens made from metals and alloys. It provides a means for analyzing the stress state and distribution in C-ring specimens.

The main unit of the testing machine consists of a constant-speed rotation control device, a specimen suspension flywheel frame, and protective equipment. The corrosion medium solution tank, made of corrosion-resistant organic materials, is used to hold the corrosive medium solution. The electronic control system, which includes a constant-speed motor for setting the rotation speed, is used to control the corrosion time.

3. The testing machine is equipped with temperature sensors, a heating system, and automatic compensation control for temperature and humidity. The chamber is fitted with mercury thermometers for temperature and humidity, allowing real-time observation of changes.

4. The test cycle period can be set arbitrarily. Typically, in each cycle, specimens are immersed in the solution for 10 minutes per hour, followed by 50 minutes of exposure to air, repeating this process.

5. The testing machine has three test chambers, each capable of holding 200 specimens with a maximum diameter of 32 mm. The flywheel, specimen hanging rods, and medium tank are made of corrosion-resistant acrylic materials. During testing, specimens must not contact each other or any other exposed metal. The machine's exterior is resistant to acids, alkalis, corrosion, high temperatures, and impact, and is easy to clean.

6. The testing machine can operate continuously for more than 30 days and nights.

7. Number of specimens tested simultaneously: 600 sets.

The corrosive medium environment can cause mechanical degradation in metals and alloys under stress, exhibiting greater degradation than in the same environment without stress.
