Vehicle Powertrain Drive Shaft Torsion Test System

The automotive drive shaft system generally consists of an intermediate drive shaft and support assembly, as well as a drive shaft with a sliding yoke assembly. It transmits the output torque and rotational motion from the engine and transmission to the drive axle, driving the wheels to rotate. It can also adapt to changes in transmission distance and angle caused by uneven road surfaces and wheel bouncing.

The drive shaft torsion testing machine is a specialized testing machine developed by Xi'an Lichuang Material Testing Technology Co., Ltd., specifically designed for torsion testing of automotive drive shafts. Lichuang Company developed China's first fully digital computer-controlled torsion testing machine, which was applied at Northwestern Polytechnical University.

I. Features of the Drive Shaft Torsion Testing Machine:

1. The measurement and control system is equipped with a large-screen LCD display and an operation keyboard. Test data is displayed on the screen, and test conditions can be set and operated via the keyboard. It can also be connected to a computer for use; 

2. The drive shaft torsion testing machine has automatic calibration, automatic zero adjustment, and automatic storage functions;

3. High torque resolution, consistent across the entire range without segmentation;

4. Utilizes digital servo drive, with a wide speed range, excellent stability, and smooth transmission;

5. The drive shaft torsion testing machine uses self-centering chucks with high coaxiality;

6. The computer system displays test data in real time, and can automatically edit, analyze, store, and print test results.

II. Installation and Usage Environment for the Drive Shaft Torsion Testing Machine:

1. Room temperature between 10°C and 35°C;

2. Clean, dry, vibration-free environment with sufficient space (≥0.7m) around for testing and maintenance.
