Small Particle Detection
The NovoCyte Opteon FSC/SSC detection optical system and signal processing circuitry have been dual-optimized for 488 nm-SSC and 405 nm-SSC, enabling the resolution of particles as small as 80 nm without needing to adjust settings to view larger cells in the same sample. This capability facilitates high-resolution co-identification and analysis of platelets, bacteria, and various submicron particles alongside cell subpopulations.
Dual SSC Enables Separation of RBCs from WBCs
The optimized dual 488 nm-SSC and 405 nm-SSC on the NovoCyte Opteon can be used to separate red blood cells (RBCs) from white blood cells (WBCs) and platelets without any RBC lysis treatment.
