Water-dispersible, ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane dispersion that increases smoothness and abrasion resistance 

Applications

Additive 51 can reduce the coefficient of friction, prevent blocking, and improve abrasion resistance. Additive 51 has been successfully applied in the following industrial areas:

Reducing Coefficient of Friction:

Ink Water-based flexographic ink, 0.05-0.1% addition level   

Solvent-based flexographic ink, 0.5-1.5% addition level   

Water-based gravure ink, 0.1-0.2% addition level   

Water-based offset ink, 0.1-0.2% addition level

Coating Water-based topcoat varnish, 0.5-1.0% addition level

Paint  Water-based paint, 0.5-1.0% addition level   

Solvent-based paint, 0.5% or higher addition level

Anti-blocking Ink Water-based flexographic ink, 0.1-0.2% addition level  

Water-based gravure ink, 0.1-0.2% addition level

Improving Abrasion Resistance:

Water-based flexographic ink, 0.1-0.2%, or as low as 0.05-0.1%, or as high as 0.5-1.5%     

addition level   Solvent-based flexographic ink, 0.5-1.5% addition level  

Water-based gravure ink, 0.05-0.5% or as high as 0.5-1.0% addition level  

Solvent-based gravure ink, 0.05-0.1% addition level   Water-based offset ink, 0.1-0.2% addition level

Coating  Water-based topcoat varnish, 0.1-0.2%, or as high as 0.5-1.0% addition level   

Water-based industrial coating, 0.05-0.1% addition level All usage levels are weight percentages of the complete formulation.
