Hazards of Mine Gas
Mine gas is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas. It is poorly soluble in water and has a higher diffusivity than air. While non-toxic, it can cause asphyxiation at high concentrations. When present in the air at certain concentrations (5% to 16%) and exposed to high temperatures (650–750°C), it can ignite. CO gas causes poisoning, while C₂H₂, C₂H₄, and C₂H₆ gases can lead to spontaneous combustion of coal seams. It poses significant risks to safety production, making the monitoring of mine gas indispensable.
Scope of Application: Analysis and detection of coalbed methane, mine gas, goaf gas, and confined area gas.

Components of the Mine Gas Gas Chromatograph: It consists of a main unit, chromatographic columns, a methane converter, a thermal conductivity detector, and dual hydrogen flame detectors. It is microcomputer-controlled, enabling automatic valve switching and detector signal switching. Equipped with four gas flow sensors, it connects to a computer via data cables, and signals are collected and processed by a dedicated mine gas chromatography workstation.
