The basic principle of the fully automatic infrared spectrophotometric oil content analyzer is that when a monochromatic light passes through the tested solution, its energy will be absorbed. The degree of light intensity absorption is proportional to the concentration of the tested substance, which conforms to the Lambert-Beer law: A=log(1/T)=log(I0/I)=a×b×c. The national standards it complies with include: HJ 637-2018 "Water Quality - Determination of Petroleum and Animal and Vegetable Oils - Infrared Spectrophotometric Method", "GB3838-2002 Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water", "GB18483-2001 Emission Standard for Cooking Fume from Catering Industry", and "GB18918-2002 Discharge Standard for Pollutants from Urban Wastewater Treatment Plants". This instrument is mainly used for measuring the oil content in surface water, groundwater and industrial wastewater, and can also be used for monitoring oil in catering fumes and oil in solids.
