Plaster Softening Point Tester

The plaster softening point tester is designed according to the requirements of the 2020 edition of the Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China, Part IV, General Rule 2102, for determining the softening point of plasters. It measures the temperature at which a plaster softens under specified heating conditions, specifically the temperature when the plaster sags by 25mm. This is used to assess the maturity of the plaster and can indirectly reflect its viscosity. The instrument is suitable for use by plaster manufacturers, drug testing institutes, and related units.

I. Main Features of the Plaster Softening Point Tester

1. The instrument features a compact benchtop design. The beaker is made of high-temperature-resistant glass, and the shoulder ring, steel ball positioning ring, and steel ball meet the specifications required by the standard.

2. The new stirrer incorporates the latest stirring technology, making it suitable for unattended operation.

3. It can automatically detect and recapture escaped stirring bars.

4. The work surface is made of nano-ceramic material, with no open flame.

5. Fuzzy logic control and microprocessor technology ensure precise control.

6. It allows simultaneous testing of two samples, providing convenience and reliable results.

Note: Users need to prepare a 37°C constant temperature water bath (temperature control accuracy ±1°C) as auxiliary equipment for this experiment.
