Stainless steel gates are sluice valves made from stainless steel materials (such as 304, 316, etc.), featuring corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, high strength, and long service life. They are widely used in scenarios such as sewage treatment, water channels, and industrial pipelines. ‌
Structure and Classification
Stainless steel gates primarily consist of a gate frame (including upper beams, lower beams, vertical beams, etc.) and a gate plate, adopting an all-stainless steel structure to overcome the rust issues of traditional steel gates. Their sealing surfaces are designed as wedge-type or parallel-type, with common types including:
Wedge-type gate plate‌: Compensates for machining deviations through elastic deformation to enhance sealing, commonly with a wedge angle of 50°. ‌
Parallel-type gate plate‌: The sealing surface is parallel to the fluid flow direction, offering a compact structure and strong sealing performance. ‌
Rising stem / Non-rising stem design‌: Rising stem gates (lifting stem) are easy to operate, while non-rising stem gates (rotating stem) save space but are prone to corrosion. ‌
Function and Application
Primarily used for fluid shutoff, diversion, pressure stabilization, and flow distribution, they only support fully open or fully closed states and do not have flow regulation capabilities. Typical application scenarios include:
Fluid control in sewage treatment plants
Water flow cutoff in hydraulic channels
Medium isolation in industrial pipelines ‌
