A composite flap valve is a one-way valve device made from high-strength composite materials (such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic), primarily used in pipelines, drainage systems, and sewage treatment projects. It features automatic opening and closing functions to prevent backflow.
Structural Characteristics
Material and Structure: Constructed from fiberglass or polyester resin-based composite materials, with an internal structure reinforced by 3–5 layers of cross-woven fiber fabric. The exterior is coated with modified resin, and the internal framework is co-cured with a metal reinforcement frame, reducing overall weight by 25–40% compared to traditional metal flap valves.
Sealing Design: The ends are equipped with hollow silicone profiled sealing strips embedded in trapezoidal grooves. The hinge is fitted with a three-pronged star-shaped PEEK plastic bearing, paired with anti-tangling steel cables. The rotating surface is coated with a molybdenum disulfide particle mixed layer, with a friction torque below 3 N·m.
Balancing Device: Built-in gas-liquid composite balancer allows adjustable piston movement speed (0.1–5 seconds per stroke), working in conjunction with a honeycomb pressure-reducing grid to achieve dynamic sealing.
