FRP Flap Gate

FRP Flap Valve is a type of check valve installed at the end of drainage pipes or sewage outlets, primarily used to prevent backflow from rivers and tidal waters. Its core features include strong corrosion resistance, lightweight construction, and low operational resistance. ‌
Structure and Working Principle
It adopts a double-hinge design and operates automatically based on water pressure. When the internal pipe pressure exceeds the external water pressure, it opens to discharge water; when the external water pressure surpasses the pipe pressure, the door closes and seals under its own weight to prevent backflow. ‌
Materials and Performance
The main material is fiberglass reinforced plastic (composite material), which offers advantages in corrosion resistance and lightweight properties, making it suitable for media such as sewage and seawater. Compared to traditional metal materials, FRP flap valves excel in resistance to acid and alkali corrosion and offer better anti-theft performance. ‌
Application Scenarios
Widely used in water conservancy systems, municipal sewage treatment, and urban flood control and drainage. It can accommodate pipes up to DN2000 in size. During installation, the valve body must be kept vertical, with a maintenance space of ≥50cm reserved. ‌
Models and Specifications
Common models include the PM and FPM series, with a nominal pressure of up to 0.6Mpa and an applicable temperature of ≤80°C. The buoyant tank design is suitable for DN300-DN800 pipes, offering excellent sealing performance (closed head loss ≤0.2m).
