Hot-dip galvanized steel gates are metal structural gates made from low-carbon or stainless steel as the base material, treated with anti-corrosion processes such as sandblasting for rust removal and hot-dip galvanizing. They use rubber waterstop seals and feature corrosion resistance, flexible operation, and reliable sealing. ‌
Structure and Anti-Corrosion
The main body of the steel gate adopts a lattice cross-section design. After sandblasting to remove rust and achieving a surface cleanliness of Sa2.5 grade, a hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion layer (zinc layer thickness ≥120μm) is applied, effectively isolating the base material from corrosive media. Some models use stainless steel, making them suitable for corrosive environments such as sewage. ‌
Sealing and Operation
Foam rubber strips are installed around the perimeter, with gap control ≤0.1mm when fully closed. Based on structural design, they are categorized into flat fixed-wheel type (vertical lifting), arc type (rotating around a hinge shaft), and integrated gate-hoist type (with built-in operating devices). Hoisting machinery typically uses winch or screw types, with maximum specifications reaching 50KN. ‌
Application Scenarios
Widely used in water conservancy projects for regulating reservoir capacity, river regulation, municipal flood control, and agricultural irrigation. Typical cases show that intelligent systems can increase channel water utilization efficiency by 6% and save 15% in energy consumption. During installation, gates must be placed horizontally to prevent deformation. Maintenance includes replenishing grease every six months and replacing rubber waterstop seals every three years.
