Its structure includes components such as the gate leaf, sliding block, and sealing device, featuring simplicity in design and ease of installation. However, it has drawbacks such as high frictional resistance and significant force requirements for opening and closing. ‌
Structural Composition
Mainly consists of the gate leaf (including the faceplate, main girders, end beams, etc.), sliding blocks (made from materials like hardwood, copper plates, or cast iron), sealing devices (rubber or PTFE materials), and embedded tracks. The sliding blocks are fixed to the end beams with bolts and slide along the tracks within the gate slot. ‌
Application Scenarios
Suitable for low-head or small to medium-sized projects, such as maintenance gates for reservoirs and ship locks. Its advantages include simple construction and effective sealing; disadvantages include high frictional resistance, susceptibility to vibration under high-velocity flow, and significant cavitation issues. ‌

‌Sliding Block Materials‌: Commonly used materials include hardwood, copper plates, cast iron, or composite materials (such as steel-based copper-plastic composite plates), selected based on water pressure strength and friction performance. ‌
