Ductile Iron Gate

Ductile iron gates are flow control devices primarily made from ductile iron, widely used in water conservancy projects, urban water supply and drainage, and industrial water treatment. They regulate water levels and intercept flow through the lifting and lowering of the gate plate driven by a hoist.
Material and Structure
Manufactured from ductile iron, the material offers high strength and strong corrosion resistance, suitable for environments ranging from -20°C to 120°C and sewage media. The gate body consists of components such as the frame, gate plate, guide rails, and sealing strips. The sealing surface is made of copper alloy or rubber, achieving bidirectional water stoppage through a wedge mechanism with a gap ≤0.1 mm.
Function and Application
Primarily used for intercepting flow and regulating water levels in projects like reservoirs, rivers, and hydropower stations, they also serve functions such as diversion, confluence, and flow direction switching. In municipal engineering, they are used for water supply and drainage control, while in industrial settings, they are applied in sewage treatment, flood prevention, and other scenarios.
Installation and Maintenance
Requires overall hoisting into the slot and adjustment of the sealing surface gap with secondary concrete pouring. Regular lubrication and anti-corrosion treatment are necessary for daily maintenance. Operation methods include manual, electric, or pneumatic, adaptable to various working condition requirements.
