Inclined cast iron gate

The inclined pull-type cast iron gate is a flow control device used in water conservancy projects such as reservoirs, rivers, and hydropower stations. It regulates water levels and intercepts flow by driving the gate plate to lift or lower via a hoist. Its structural features are as follows:
Structural Composition
It mainly consists of a gate frame, gate plate, lifting seat, tight inclined iron, and rod system. The gate frame serves as the supporting component, fixed to the gate pier and secondary concrete of the gate base with anchor bolts, transferring water pressure to the main structure. The gate plate is the water-retaining component directly bearing water pressure, made of cast iron (such as HT250 gray cast iron or ductile iron), complying with industry standards CJ/T3006-92 and DL/T5018-2004.
Sealing Design
The sealing structure uses bronze or copper alloy facings, combined with a wedge block device and water pressure to achieve bidirectional water stoppage. Water seepage can be controlled within 0.03-0.07 L/m·s. The gate plate closely fits the slide track of the gate frame to ensure smooth operation.
Installation Requirements
During installation, it must be hoisted into the slot as a whole, and the sealing surface gap adjusted to within 0.1 mm through secondary concrete pouring. A matching hoist, such as a manual screw hoist or winch-type hoist, is required to meet different water head pressure needs (e.g., 15-50 m water head).

Suitable for water conservancy projects like reservoirs, rivers, and hydropower stations, it offers strong corrosion resistance and can adapt to environments such as sewage and seawater. Its inclined pull-type design optimizes water stoppage effectiveness, reduces sealing surface wear, and simplifies maintenance.
