A steel flap gate is a one-way valve installed at the end of a pipeline, primarily used to prevent backflow of external water. It operates automatically through the pressure difference of the medium, requiring no manual intervention. ‌
Structure and Composition
A steel flap gate consists of a gate plate, gate hinge, gate seat, sealing components (such as rubber sealing rings), and hinges. Some models include a valve body and valve cover. The sealing rings are typically made of rubber, while the hinges are often stainless steel to enhance corrosion resistance. ‌
Working Principle
When the internal water pressure of the pipeline exceeds the external pressure, the gate leaf opens automatically; conversely, it closes. This utilizes the pressure difference of the medium to achieve the check and anti-backflow function. ‌

‌Water conservancy systems‌: Used in flood control and drainage projects such as rivers and reservoirs.
‌Municipal sewage‌: Installed at the end of drainage pipelines in treatment plants to prevent sewage backflow.

Specifications and Installation
‌Diameter‌: Circular models are suitable for pipelines ≤2 meters, while rectangular models are used for drainage systems >2 meters.
‌Pressure‌: Nominal pressure ranges from 0.1MPa to 1.0MPa, with high-pressure models capable of up to 1.6MPa.
‌Installation requirements‌: A 400mm operational space must be reserved, and a 1:5 slope should be set below the outlet to ensure sealing performance. ‌
