Preparation by hydrolysis of 2,5-dimethylfuran
2,5-dimethylfuran is hydrolyzed under dilute acid conditions (such as sulfuric acid) to form 3-ene-2,5-hexanedione, which is then reduced by hydrogenation to obtain 2,5-hexanedione
The yield can reach over 80%
Reaction method of sodium ethyl acetate with iodine
Sodium ethyl acetate reacts with pure iodine to produce diethyl diacetate;
Then hydrolyze with 10% sodium hydroxide, neutralize, extract with ether, and distill (collect fractions at 192-194 ℃) to obtain pure product
Oxidation open-loop method (Shenk method)
2,5-dimethylfuran undergoes ring opening oxidation to obtain 3-ene-2,5-hexanedione;
Subsequently, it undergoes catalytic hydrogenation reduction to 2,5-hexanedione
