I. Overview
Concentration is a method to reduce sludge volume. In the sludge treatment process, gravity concentration is generally used as a pretreatment step for dewatering operations. Therefore, sludge concentration in a thickener is actually similar to the sedimentation process in a settling tank. The function of the sludge thickener, in addition to scraping the sludge, also involves slow stirring to enhance the concentration effect.
The thickener produced by our unit is a continuous working concentration and clarification equipment. It can also be used for dewatering of concentrate slurry in wet beneficiation operations, as well as for the concentration and purification of solid slurries in coal, chemical, building materials, and other industries.
