Heaters are mainly used for heavy diesel oil, fuel oil, lubricating oil, edible oil, high pour point crude oil, and storage tanks in cold regions that require heating to maintain the fluidity of the oil or meet the temperature requirements of the process. The products are divided into two types: steam coil heaters and local heaters.
Local heaters are installed at the outlet of the medium in tanks that already have coil heaters or in small-capacity storage tanks to increase the temperature of the medium inside the tank and reduce heating time.
Steam coil heaters calculate the required heating area based on the heating needs of the stored medium, and arrange and combine several unit coils in different configurations to ensure the smooth flow of the medium inside the tank, pump, and pipeline.

III. Purpose of Oil Heating
Many oil products have high viscosity at low temperatures, and some waxy oil products may solidify due to wax crystallization at low temperatures.
The main purposes of oil heating in finished oil depots are:
Preventing oil solidification;
Reducing hydraulic friction during oil transportation in pipelines;
Accelerating the loading and unloading speed of tankers and oil tanks;
Dehydrating oil and settling impurities;
Accelerating oil blending and lubricant regeneration.

During daily operation inspections of the heater, attention should be paid to whether the condensate contains oil and whether there is an increase in water at the bottom of the tank. When not in use, the drain valve should be opened to discharge accumulated water. Before winter, inspections should be conducted to eliminate hidden dangers.
