The production process requirements for corrugated structure flame arresters are strict and should meet the following technical requirements:
A. The flame arrester housing can be manufactured using cast iron, aluminum alloy, cast steel, or stainless steel materials depending on the medium used;
B. The casting dimensions of the housing must meet the specified requirements;
C. The housing casting must not have defects such as cracks, shrinkage cavities, sand holes, or damage that could affect its strength;
D. The housing should undergo a hydrostatic test at the specified pressure and can only be used after passing the test;
E. The corrugated flame arrestor layer is processed using steel strips, which should be bright and free from rust spots and oil stains;
F. The flame arrestor layer should be tightly wound into one piece without looseness, and its surface should be flat, smooth, and free of burrs;
G. The pore size on the flame arrestor layer should be completely uniform and consistent, without blockages, ensuring that each pore is unobstructed;
H. The flame arrestor layer should not shake when installed in the housing, the contact surface should be tightly joined, and there should be no gaps around it;
I. After assembly, the flame arrester should undergo flame performance tests as specified.
The thickness of the flame arrestor layer and the corrugation height of the corrugated flame arrester can be graded according to the properties of different gases.
