Installation and Maintenance Precautions

1. All types of safety valves should be installed vertically.
2. There should be no resistance at the outlet of the safety valve to avoid pressure buildup.
3. Safety valves should be specifically tested and their sealing checked before installation.
4. Safety valves in use should be inspected regularly.

Common faults mainly include two types: one is damage, corrosion, or leakage of the valve body; the other is that the liquid seal oil may partially evaporate during use, while water vapor, oil vapor, and impurities inside the tank may condense into it. Therefore, after long-term use, its quantity, quality, and density may change, affecting the accuracy of pressure control.

During daily tank inspections and operations, the inspection of hydraulic safety valves should be strengthened. For example, check for any abnormal changes in the valve body, any leakage, whether the height of the liquid seal oil meets the requirements, and add sealing fluid if necessary; check the operation of the hydraulic safety valve during tank in/out operations; check whether the sealing net is intact and unobstructed.

Selection of Hydraulic Safety Valves

1. The type of hydraulic safety valve should meet the installation environment requirements, based on the applicable scope of the hydraulic safety valve.
2. The diameter of the hydraulic safety valve should match the breathing volume of the tank during oil in/out operations. Generally, it can be the same as the diameter of the mechanical breathing valve used in the configuration.
3. The oil filling height inside the hydraulic safety valve should meet the control pressure requirements.
