Silicon carbon rod heating tubes use green, high-purity silicon carbide as the main raw material, processed into blanks, and formed through high-temperature silicification and recrystallization. They are rod-shaped non-metallic high-temperature electric heating elements. Domestic silicon carbon rod enterprises use similar formulas and production processes, with the maximum operating temperature consistently unable to exceed 1520 degrees Celsius. Compared to traditional metal elements like heating wires, these elements offer advantages such as high operating temperature, corrosion resistance, long lifespan, minimal deformation, multiple models, easy installation, and simple maintenance. They are widely used in various high-temperature manufacturing fields, including magnetic materials, powder metallurgy, ceramics, glass, metallurgy, and molds. One of the silicon carbon rod specifications, the gate-type silicon carbon rod, is a large-spacing element with a center distance of over 180mm. The difference between it and the U-type element lies in the heating section. The U-type element has a vertical hot end as the heating section, while the gate-type silicon carbon rod has a horizontal heating section (the heating length is equivalent to its center distance). Due to the large spacing of gate-type rods, a specialized welding furnace is required during welding, and only 1-5 rods can be welded at a time, resulting in very low production efficiency. Therefore, gate-type rods are much more expensive than U-type rods.
