Application Fields

Daily Chemical Industry: It is a basic raw material for manufacturing soap, shampoo, and shower gel. Its sodium salts possess excellent foaming and cleaning capabilities. Esters synthesized from myristic acid and other alcohols can serve as cosmetic emulsifiers, enhancing the spreadability and moisturizing properties of products.

Food Industry: It can be used as a release agent and flavor carrier. In chocolate processing, it helps regulate crystallization speed and improves mouthfeel.

Pharmaceutical Field: In pharmaceuticals, it is used as a tablet lubricant or sustained-release agent, such as the coating material for certain antibiotic capsules. Studies indicate that myristic acid has inhibitory effects on certain bacteria and fungi and can be used in topical antibacterial preparations.

Industrial Field: In metal processing, its derivatives can serve as rust inhibitors. In the plastics industry, calcium myristate, generated by the reaction of myristic acid with calcium salts, can be used as a PVC stabilizer to enhance the heat resistance of the material.
