Properties and Applications

Performance: Sulfurated Antioxidant 4020 is gray-purple to purple-brown granules or flakes. Soluble in benzene and other solvents, insoluble in water. Unstable at room temperature, avoid contact with strong oxidizers, strong acids and strong bases.
Applications: Mainly used in natural rubber and synthetic rubber, it is a pollution-type antioxidant among p-phenylenediamine antioxidants. In addition to good antioxidant performance, it also has excellent protection against ozone cracking and flex fatigue. Its performance is similar to Antioxidant 4010NA, but its toxicity and skin irritation are lower than those of 4010NA, and its solubility in water is better than that of 4010NA. It is widely used in the manufacture of industrial rubber products such as airplane, bicycle and automobile tires, wires and cables, rubber belts, etc., with a general dosage of 0.5-1.5%. This product is not suitable for light-colored products due to its relatively serious pollution. p-Phenylenediamine antioxidants are currently the main excellent varieties commonly used in the rubber industry at home and abroad, and are also the development direction of antioxidants in the future.
