Properties and Applications

TBTD is an ultra-promoter for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and can also be used as a vulcanizing agent, with an effective sulfur content of 31.5%. This product will not bloom or stain in rubber compounds, and can be used to manufacture inner tubes, rubber shoes, rubber fabrics...

Properties: Sulfur vulcanization accelerator TBTD is a fast curing auxiliary accelerator, suitable for NR and EPDM. It is dark brown oily liquid, and solid below 20℃. The relative density is 1.05-1.10g/cm3, soluble in most organic solvents and insoluble in water.
Applications: TBTD is an ultra-promoter for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, and can also be used as a vulcanizing agent, with an effective sulfur content of 31.5%. This product will not bloom or stain in rubber compounds, and can be used to manufacture inner tubes, rubber shoes, rubber fabrics, industrial products, etc. When used as a promoter in natural rubber or synthetic rubber compounds, the dosage is 0.2-1.0 parts, and when used as a vulcanizing agent, the dosage is 2.0-6.0 parts. When TBTD is used to manufacture items that come into contact with food, it is necessary to refer to the regulations of Category 4 in BgVV XXI. There are no regulations for TBTD in FDA food contact applications.
