Shanghai Longma Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1991 by several professors from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Initially, the company primarily engaged in trade while collaborating with factories to improve processes and explore new products. In 1998 and 2001, the company set up factories in Taizhou, Zhejiang and Weifang, Shandong respectively. In 2010, a new advanced R&D laboratory was established within the Shanghai Juke Biological Park—Ganggang Base, a national-level specialized incubation zone.
The company is equipped with various reaction and analytical facilities, capable of custom synthesizing products ranging from grams to kilograms. It can synthesize products obtained through various types of reactions such as nitration, hydrogenation, bromination, and Grignard reactions.
Currently, the R&D center has over 20 core members, all of whom are engineers or senior engineers, including three with doctoral degrees and six with master's degrees. The factory employs more than 100 staff. The expertise of the R&D personnel spans multiple fields including pharmaceuticals, chemical engineering, biochemistry, and fine chemistry. With years of experience in small-scale R&D, scale-up production, and process technological improvements, they form a cohesive, experienced, and innovative team. The company's R&D center possesses strong independent development capabilities, enabling it to complete new product development and process improvement tasks assigned by the company efficiently and with high quality.
The company is now planning to establish a new 700-square-meter advanced laboratory in Wujiang, Suzhou by 2014. This facility will be equipped with various reaction and analytical equipment, allowing for custom synthesis of products from grams to kilograms. It will also be capable of synthesizing products through various types of reactions such as nitration, hydrogenation, bromination, and Grignard reactions. Additionally, an independent analysis and testing center will be set up, equipped with instruments like HPLC, GC, UV, and others to ensure data reliability during product development and enhance R&D efficiency.
