Introduct: The China Chamber of Commerce for Chinese Enterprises in Angola was founded on March 17, 2006, in Luanda, the capital of Angola. It is a self-regulating, non-profit civil organization approved by the Ministry of Commerce of China and established under the guidance of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Angola. Initiated by Chinese-funded enterprises and institutions engaged in economic and trade activities as well as post-war reconstruction in Angola, the Chamber aims to unite and pool the strengths of all Chinese-funded enterprises operating in Angola. Since its establishment, the Chamber has consistently received robust guidance from the Chinese Embassy in Angola. Introduct: The China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria received official approval from the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China for its establishment filing in November 2009. It completed local registration in Nigeria in February 2010 and was formally inaugurated at its First General Meeting of Members held in July 2011. Registered in Nigeria and filed with China’s Ministry of Commerce, the Chamber serves as a vice-chairman entity of the Joint Conference of Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Associations Overseas. Its membership covers all major Chinese-funded enterprises operating in Nigeria, spanning sectors including oil and gas, infrastructure construction, manufacturing, communications, agriculture, mining and the internet. It has set up specialized branch associations for multiple industries such as oil and gas, engineering contracting, manufacturing, building materials, automobiles, electric power and agriculture. The Chamber boasts over 160 formal member entities and maintains connections with more than 1,000 associated enterprises. It employs a full-time team of 16 staff members. Its headquarters is located in the Chamber Building along Airport Road in Abuja, the national capital, with branch offices in Kano, Lagos, Guangzhou and Yiwu. Since its founding, the China General Chamber of Commerce in Nigeria has garnered strong support from the governments of both China and Nigeria. Dedicated to serving Chinese-funded enterprises in Nigeria, it advances bilateral economic and trade ties and facilitates cross-sector exchanges between the two nations.
