Introduct: “OPORA RUSSIA” is a platform for an effective professional dialogue between owners and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises and representatives of federal executive bodies, regional authorities and municipalities, supervisory bodies, infrastructure for small and medium business support, as well as representatives of the expert community.   “OPORA RUSSIA” IN FIGURES: regional offices in all 85 Russian regions; 417 local offices; More than 100 sectoral unions, associations, guilds form Non-profit Partnership “OPORA”; 42 representatives abroad; “OPORA RUSSIA” and NP “OPORA” unite about 400,000 entrepreneurs who create more than 5 million jobs. The structure of “OPORA RUSSIA” includes specialized Committees and Commissions, which work with key issues important for small and medium business. The activities of Committees and Commissions are aimed at developing proposals that promote the development of entrepreneurship in Russia.   “OPORA RUSSIA” directly participated in elaboration and adoption of a number of federal laws: on the protection of competition, on the development of small and medium entrepreneurship, on the abolition of cash register equipment requirement for UTII (unified tax on imputed income) payers, on preferential privatization for small entrepreneurs, etc.   Expert and analytical activities of “OPORA RUSSIA” are reflected in a number of government decisions: in 2007 the Government of the Russian Federation adopted the rules for non-discriminatory access to power grids for small business, Russian Government Commission on Competition and Development of Small and Medium-sized Businesses was established. more>

Introduct: The Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), established in June 1990, is a non-governmental organisation promoting the interests of Russia’s business community. The RSPP President is Alexander Shokhin.   The RSPP was set up to promote Russian business interests in Russia and abroad, to help make Russia more business friendly and attractive to investors, and to maintain the balance of interests of business, government and society.   The RSPP represents the interests of all Russian businesses, regardless of their size, sector or location. The RSPP operates in two capacities: as a non-governmental organisation, and as a national association of employers.
