The 7th Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition

For over a decade, China’s printing industry has been experiencing a tremendous developing period with an average annual growth rate of more than 10%. According to the statistics by Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China (PEIAC), the total turnover of China’s printing industry in 2006 has reached 380 billion RMB. This statistic is likely to reach 440 billion RMB in 2007. Recent survey shows that there are over 90,000 printing enterprises and companies in China with approximately 3.9 million employees. Beijing International Printing Technology Exhibition, also known as CHINA PRINT, is a quadrennial event established in 1984. It has been the largest printing trade fair in China since its establishment and has become the first UFI member in China in 1988. With the development of over twenty years, CHINA PRINT has been unanimously acknowledged as a must-attend event for printing professionals. CHINA PRINT 2005, which was held from May 11 to 15 of 2005, has achieved a great success. It occupied the total show area of both China International Exhibition Center and National Agricultural Exhibition Center with a total show space of 92,518 square meters. 986 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions participated in CHINA PRINT 2005, 306 of them were companies from abroad. More than 160,000 visitors from 105 countries and regions attended the exhibition. 17,300 of them were from abroad. In addition to the grand gathering, FORUM-PI 2005 as well as 29 conferences and seminars were successfully held during the exhibition period. CHINA PRINT aims at building a broader platform to support communications of technology and business trade, as well as providing first-class services to exhibitors and visitors. We wish these efforts would provide a better environment to support the development of China’s printing industry.
