　　Enhancing the umami and meaty aroma of meat while masking fishy odors;

　　Boosting the fruity aroma and sweetness of beverages and ice cream, reducing the amount of sucrose used;

　　Improving the caramel and sweet notes of baked goods and extending flavor persistence.

　　Used in extremely low amounts (typically 0.01-0.1g/kg), but with significant flavoring effects.
