HGU45H Piston Type Discharge Valve
I. Introduction:
For systems requiring full valve displacement operation, plunger valves are more suitable than discharge valves. Since the movement of the plunger within the valve cavity also serves to clean the cavity, plunger valves can be used for slurry process media. With diverse designs, they can be connected to the outlets of various containers, and are used for line sampling and discharge. For low-temperature applications, radial seals made of polyvinyl fluoride and graphite are used; for high-temperature applications, metal seals are adopted. Various operation modes are available, such as manual, pneumatic (spring return type, double-acting type, with or without handwheel), electric, hydraulic, etc. Only plunger valves can provide full displacement operation. This standard specifies the type, technical requirements and marking of manual plunger stainless steel discharge valves. This standard applies to the discharge and sampling of all reactors with stirrers in chemical and petrochemical equipment.
II. Installation and Maintenance:
1. Valves shall be neatly stored in a general dry and ventilated warehouse. They are strictly prohibited from being stacked or stored outdoors. Keep the piston surface free of dirt, sediment, etc., but be careful not to collide the piston surface with metal objects or strike it with metal. Both ends of the valve's nominal diameter shall be blocked with blank flanges.
2. Before installation, carefully inspect the valve and remove any damage caused during transportation and storage.
3. During installation, pay attention to whether the forces on all screws are balanced and whether the lifting (movement) is flexible. Check whether the packing and piston are well-sealed. Do not disassemble or assemble without permission; it must be done under the guidance of technical personnel.
4. Valves shall be installed in places without severe vibration and impact, and in sites where the valves will not be damaged.
5. After valve installation, check whether all screws are tightened.
6. When the discharge is blocked, it can be dredged with a metal rod or rigid tool; metal rods or rigid tools shall not be used improperly.
7. Avoid alternating use of acid and alkali media as much as possible (except for neutralization reaction media), so as not to shorten the service life.
8. According to the medium performance and service life, regularly check the wear of the piston surface and packing to prevent leakage. If damage is found, replace it in time before reuse. Lubricating oil shall be added to the piston surface and oil cup.
9. If damage is found on the valve surface, stop using it immediately. It can be repaired with special materials, or entrusted to a relevant production unit for production.
