Three-way insulated plug valve
I. Introduction:
The BX44W three-way insulated plug valve has double block and bleed functions. It is equipped with a pressure balance device to prevent abnormal pressure rise in the system and reduce the resistance during the opening and closing of the valve. Since the metal surfaces contact each other after the sealing ring is compressed, the valve has a fire-resistant function. The valve is very easy to maintain. The side plates can be removed from the valve body for replacement by disassembling the end cover at the bottom of the valve body without removing the valve body from the pipeline. Therefore, it is widely used in petroleum, natural gas, metallurgical mines, gas engineering, light industry and textile, ship terminals, food, environmental protection water treatment and other industries for regulating and opening/closing pipeline fluids. When opening, the handle is rotated to raise the plug, making the plug fully open. When closing, first rotate the handle to turn the plug 90° to the closed position, then rotate the handwheel of the transmission device to lower the plug to achieve sealing.
II. Features:
1. The plug cone of the BX44W three-way insulated plug valve is installed in an inverted manner. There is a check valve on the upper part of the plug cone.
2. When the valve is closed, due to the difference in the upper and lower cross-sectional areas of the plug cone, the injected high-pressure sealing oil exerts an upward lifting force on the plug, enabling better sealing between the plug and the valve sealing surface.
3. At the moment the valve is opened, the pressure in the lower chamber of the valve body balances with the medium pressure in the pipeline, and the high-pressure sealing oil in the upper chamber exerts a downward thrust on the plug, creating a small gap between the plug cone and the valve sealing surface, which effectively reduces the torque when rotating the plug and also protects the sealing pair.
4. Under high-temperature conditions, the thermal expansion of the plug can be absorbed through its lifting movement, preventing the sealing pair from wedging.
III. Installation and Maintenance:
1. Reserve enough space for the valve handle to rotate.
2. It cannot be used for throttling.
3. Ball valves with transmission mechanisms should be installed upright.
