I. Introduction:
The BX44W three-way insulated plug valve features double block and bleed functions. It is equipped with a pressure balancing device to prevent abnormal pressure buildup in the system and reduce the resistance during the opening and closing of the valve. Since the metal surfaces come into contact after the sealing ring is compressed, the valve has a fire-resistant function. The valve is very convenient to maintain. Without removing the valve body from the pipeline, the two side plates can be taken out from the valve body for replacement by disassembling the end cover at the bottom of the valve body. Therefore, it is widely used in industries such as petroleum, natural gas, metallurgical mines, gas engineering, light industry and textile, ship terminals, food, and environmental protection water treatment for regulating and switching the fluid in pipelines. Rise to fully open the plug and the valve. When closing, first rotate the handle to turn the plug 90° to the closed position, then rotate the handwheel of the transmission device to lower the plug to achieve sealing.
II. Features:
1. The plug cone of the BX44W three-way insulated plug valve (pressure-balanced plug valve) is installed in an inverted manner. There is a check valve at the upper part of the plug cone.
2. When the valve is closed, due to the difference in cross-sectional area between the upper and lower parts of the plug cone, the injected high-pressure sealing oil exerts an upward lifting force on the plug body, enabling a better seal between the plug body and the sealing surface of the valve.
3. At the moment the valve is opened, the pressure in the lower cavity of the valve body balances with the medium pressure in the pipeline, and the high-pressure sealing oil in the upper cavity exerts a downward thrust on the plug body, creating a small gap between the plug cone and the sealing surface of the valve body. This effectively reduces the torque required to rotate the plug body and also protects the sealing pair.
4. Under high-temperature operating conditions, the thermal expansion of the plug can be absorbed through its lifting and lowering, preventing the sealing pair from wedging.
III. Installation and Maintenance:
1. Reserve a position for the valve stem to rotate.
2. Do not use it for throttling.
3. Ball valves with transmission mechanisms shall be installed vertically.
