I. Overview
Railway clearance is established to ensure the safe operation of rolling stock on railway lines, preventing collisions with adjacent structures and equipment. It defines the maximum轮廓尺寸线 (contour dimensions) that rolling stock and nearby structures or equipment must not exceed. The fundamental railway clearances include the rolling stock clearance and the structure clearance.
