BYK-323 Leveling Agent is a silicone additive with excellent thermal stability, which does not affect intercoat adhesion even at 250°C. This additive slightly reduces the surface tension of the coating system and serves as a silicone leveling agent with defoaming effects; its defoaming or foam-inhibiting performance depends on the polarity of the coating system.
BYK-323 Leveling Agent provides matting agent orientation in matte coatings. In high-solid polyurethane and acid-cured unsaturated polyester coatings, BYK-323 additive offers excellent matting agent orientation without causing an increase in gloss. In curtain coating systems, BYK-323 Leveling Agent also ensures curtain stability. In metallic flash coatings, BYK-323 aids in the orientation of matting agents and aluminum powder.
