BYK-P 104S Anti-Floating Agent is a controlled flocculation wetting and dispersing agent used in medium to high polarity solvent-based industrial coatings and architectural coatings, as well as automotive putties.
BYK 104S Anti-Floating Dispersant prevents floating and flooding caused by the combination of titanium dioxide and other pigments.
To enhance anti-floating and flooding properties, BYK-P 104S Anti-Floating Agent contains silicone.

BYK 104S Anti-Floating Agent is suitable for medium to high polarity systems and is particularly effective in preventing floating when titanium dioxide is combined with other colored pigments. It can also be used in amine-neutralized water-based coatings. It is not soluble in solvent naphtha. When used in anti-corrosion primers, it often enhances protective performance.
The anti-floating agent also contains a small amount of polysiloxane copolymer to more effectively avoid flooding. This silicone content also helps prevent Benard cell formation and silking, and it improves surface slip, leveling, and the orientation of matting agents or aluminum powder, often eliminating the need for additional silicone additives.
